The 2008 Alzheimer’s Educational Conference
Presented by Alzheimer’s Community Care and The Alzheimer’s Alliance
National Commemorative Candle Lighting is a nationwide event sponsored by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America to remember and honor Americans who have been or will be affected by Alzheimer's disease or related illnesses.
Local organizations hold inspirational ceremonies in their communities on the same day, uniting individuals from coast to coast as they light "candles of care."
National Commemorative Candle Lighting is an annual event, held each November in recognition of National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month.
Together, let's show how much we Care.
Palm Beach County Time and Place to be Determined
National Memory Screening Day is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America to promote early detection of Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses, and to encourage appropriate intervention.
AFA carries out this event in collaboration with organizations and healthcare professionals across the U.S.—bringing them together for care. Participating sites offer free confidential memory screenings, as well as follow up resources and educational materials to those concerned about memory loss. Together, we hope to improve quality of life.

Our support groups tend to focus on the newly diagnosed patient, and their caregiver. Family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

THE SCRAPBOOK CIRCLE
it all begins with a memory...
the third Tuesday of every month
It is so important to preserve the memories of yesterday and today so they can be relived and enjoyed by both current and future generations. Our Scrapbook Circle is an informal gathering of high functioning patients and their spouse or caregiver that focuses on preserving photos, journaling memories and having the opportunity to express yourself creatively. When a patient can no longer attend, our Scrapbook Circle serves as an informal support group for caregivers that are struggling with the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. Just bring your photos! We'll supply the rest!
